Next week kindergarteners will be taking the Stanford each morning. Please remember to get a good night's sleep and have a healthy breakfast each day. The test is given in a group setting in the classroom with the teacher reading the instructions for each section of the test.

Let's make it a great semester!

  1. Dear Sarah
What a joy to know that I will present in your class as your students return to school.
When they read The Malachite Palace you may want to have them see, at least a little of the ballet that has been created about The Malachite Palace. You can find it in You Tube.
And when they read The rooster you may try to tell the story as impromptu theatre. It is lots of fun. Isabel Campoy always have children do that when we visit schools and they always surprise us with their creativity. After The Gold Coin I like to have students reflects on the richness in their lives and create gold coins where they write or draw their own richness, family, friends, teacher, school, books... if you ask them to not repeat each other they will stretch their imagination until they recognize air, water, sun, stars as richness also.
Forgive the teacher in me... I'm sure you don't need suggestions and could give me some.
But it is exciting to know I'm there with you. Give my students my love.
I'd love to add to my website anything you want to share about this experience.
May your new year be rich in joy, love, health, creativity and the discoveries of new wonders. Alma Flor
